Great Gaff. After 15 years on our annual lads week, best yet. Location, location, location. some superb hill walks, combined with local adventures. Layout very sociable, star gazing at night - awesome. Hopefully we will be back one day. Fantastic literature and folders. Best info came across at self catering.
18 September 2010, Jackie, Rich and friends, Sweep and Rocco!, Newcastle
A home from home! The log burner has been put to use with lovely fires every night! Comfy beds and lovely hot power showers. Scenery and wildlife fantastic. Would recommend Torridon sea tours and the many walks - Loch Clair, Coulin estate, mountain trail Beinn Eighe, and if your up for more driving on these wonderful roads, give Applecross cattle road a try. All in all a fab week, the separate living areas worked really well. We all really enjoyed our stay.

The best equipped house we have ever stayed in. Fabulous views and great neighbours.

What a stunning location and a lovely house. This has been a wonderful 70th birthday present for Tony and we had had an amazing holiday. Thank you so much.
19 June 2010, Angela Robertson and Friends, Caithness
Everyone enjoyed the stunning scenery and lovely house. Pine martens entertained each evening.

Once again a wonderful holiday. No fish but great weather. Thank you.
5 June 2010, Boucher Family, West Midlands
We really enjoyed the visit and the cottage. The scenery was beautiful and we were so lucky with the weather. We are looking forward for our next visit.
15 May 2010, Sanford family, Holm Firth, North Yorks
A truly unique location, memories of which will stay with us for many years. Very appreciative of nightly entertainment from local resident wildlife!! Glad we bought extra jam. Molly enjoyed her first visit to Scotland, have never seen her so tired from walking. Thank you. We look forward to our next visit.
24 April 2010, Jim and Helen Stitt, Spey & Jura, Abingdon, Oxfordshire
We can only echo what has already been said about house, location etc. Weather mixed but we have been out walking every day. Lucky enough to see both pine martens but no other significant wildlife (unless you count the Eider Duck!)
10 April 2010, Dale Family, Glasgow
Very comfortable house. Weather beautiful Sunday and when leaving. Great walks!
3 April 2010, Tony and Penny Aspey, Bracken & Beth, Whitby, North Yorks
Fabulous house, so very comfortable and homely. Had at least 3 seasons weather this week, rain, hail, sleet, heavy snow, wind blizzards and lovely sun. Road very "interesting" and challenging at times. Wildlife good but not an otter in sight. Pine martens come out to feed most nights and are even curious and climb on the windowsills to look at us.
21 March 2010, Cliona and Karl, Aberdeen
What a super place to stay! Lost for words really. Would love to come back again. Thank you
16 November 2009, Kate and Andrew, Guildford
Beautiful spot for our mini-honeymoon. We've seen all the wildlife described (inc. otters and pine marten) - no jam left now! The weather certainly hasn't stopped us enjoying the walks and the walks in surrey will look very tame now. Thanks for letting the house in such an idyllic spot!
30 October 2009, Hawthorn family, Newcastle upon Tyne
Fantastic - Scotland's answer to a safari lodge - and a tardis too! Super warm and draught less. Have walked, biked, run and canoed, and just watched the wildlife. 'Otterly' marvellous!
30 October 2009, The Doran Family, Newcastle upon Tyne
Great week. House very comfortable for 7. Walked, climbed, cycled, fished (only mackerel), kayaked, etc. Drank - lots!... and the honour of a face to face encounter with pine marten. Thank you.
24 October 09, Bloomer family, Shetland
Talk about remote. It is great here. Lots of wildlife- my mum saw 2 sea eagles, amazing! Very comfortable and in beautiful surroundings. I've enjoyed all the walks. We had incredible weather. The road was pretty scary - fingers crossed for brakes not failing on the way down the hill!
10 October 09, Craig Bunyan, Glasgow
Had a brilliant time. Weather spectacular - this is a truly beautiful part of the world. Kishorn seafood bar provided excellent food on Friday evening.
12 September 09, Webster family, Roxburghshire
Magic, all round great fun.
29 August 09, Catherine, Stuart & guests, London
Excellent time. Thank you very much. "Potting shed" restaurant at Applecross highly recommended and Badachro Inn and the fortnightly "cafe" at the Torridon village hall. Walks and wildlife good.
15 August 09, Walmesley Family, Chorley, Lancashire
Another fabulous week - we've all had a great time, seen some amazing wildlife and observed braver visitors tackling the hills!
8 August 09, Cross Family, St Albans
Beautiful setting. Weather has been kind with great walks. Children braved the water for swimming. Best located sofa in Scotland! Reluctant to move on.
25 July 09, Ian Porteous & friends, Liverpool
This is a great house! Some interesting sleeping arrangements with 7 singles! Weather varied as you can expect, but some great treks on the mountains in either case. The loch is really warm! Mark decided to do all of Beinn Eighe, Liathach & Beinn Alligin range peaks in one day, the rest of us took 3 days to do the same. Watch out for the Pinnacles on Liathach, which are well scary! A very enjoyable time had by all and we will certainly consider returning next year.
3 July 09, Eileen and Allan Anderson & Hamish MacBeth the Lab, Begbroke, Oxfordshire
Our best holiday ever - perfect all round - wildlife, location, cottage, weather. We're so sorry to have to leave!! Thank you
20 June 09, Allan & Hana Sutherland, Anne Duncan, Edinburgh
What a location! Weather brilliant first 4 days then not so good. Walking every day anyway. Saw Mr Otter most mornings. House is excellent but needs a bigger fridge! Will be back again without doubt.
13 June 09, The Mackenzie Family, Lytham St Annes
Fished to no avail off pier! Walked up to Craig. Had a wee swim in the sea (V. warm). BBQ, beers and stellar homemade curry. Absolutely fabulous accommodation in pristine condition. Weather and company great. Thanks for a great holiday.
6 June 09, The Phillips Family, Huston, Texas
We really love this place!! I really wish that the people that come here will love it as much as we did. The house is huge, yet homely and clean.
9 May 09, Richard & Pat Maud, Skipton, N. Yorks
Marvellous setting, unfortunately spoiled by atrocious weather. We knew the film Lochness was filmed at Torridon but until we watched it again the other night, we didn't realise how much was filmed in this bay!
1 May 09, John & Julie Harrison, George & Pam Bartlett, Belfast and Texas
Weather not quite as good as last year, but not bad. Saw the otter on many occasions, and the pine marten only once. We saw many birds and the wild goats were down around the seashore quite often. A day at Applecross was great. Fish Loch Damph was so-so. We will be Back!
25 April 09, Angela Robertson & Friends, Caithness
Once again amazed by the beauty and comfort in this place. Weather mild and some sunny days.
18 April 09, Banks & Chapman, Fife
Having spent a week here in October in terrible weather, this week has been completely the opposite - glorious weather every day bar one, so lots of walking, which has been great. P&C bagged their first munro - Tom na Gruagaich - in brilliant sunshine on Wednesday and declared it the best day of the holiday!
