Tigh Brachen is approximately 8 miles from the village of Torridon (nearest shop, pub, hotel), and 70 miles (2hrs) from Inverness.
From the Kinlochewe to Torridon road, the grandeur of the Torridon range unveils itself as you pass at the foot of the slopes of Beinn Eighe (File Mountain), and the enormous rugged slopes of the Liathach (the Grey One). From the single track road from Torridon to Diabaig, you pass Beinn Alligin (the Jewelled Hill) with its famous Horns of Alligin waiting for those brave enough to attempt a traverse! The road rewards you with some breath taking views over Loch Torridon to Shieldaig, Ben Damph, the Applecross Pennisula, and out across the Minch to the Isle of Raasay and the Isle of Skye beyond. And then if that wasn't enough you come to Loch Diabaig.
